- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 3 large eggs, room temperature
- 1/2 cup salted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth. Add eggs, melted butter, applesauce, brown sugar, and white sugar. Whisk until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cinnamon, baking powder, and baking soda.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Slice, serve, and enjoy!
Notes
- For best results, use overripe bananas with lots of brown spots.
- Add-ins like chocolate chips or nuts (about 1/2 cup) can enhance flavor and texture.
