Description

Pillsbury Biscuit Garlic Butter Cheese Bombs are irresistibly fluffy biscuit dough balls stuffed with gooey mozzarella cheese, brushed with a savory garlic butter and Italian seasoning blend, and baked to golden perfection. These bombs are quick to prepare, delightfully cheesy, and make a crowd-pleasing snack, appetizer, or side dish for any meal or gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (16oz) container of refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 4 ounces mozzarella cheese (shredded or diced)
  • 4 tbsp melted butter (half a stick)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Open the container of biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Flatten each biscuit into a 3-inch circle.
  3. Place a piece of mozzarella cheese in the center of each biscuit circle.
  4. Fold the edges up and around the cheese, pinching to seal into a ball.
  5. Arrange the cheese-filled biscuit bombs seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Mix the melted butter with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl.
  7. Brush the tops of the biscuit bombs with the seasoned butter mixture.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  9. Serve warm, optionally with a dipping sauce.

Notes

You can substitute mozzarella with cheddar or provolone. For a dairy-free version, use vegan cheese and butter. These can be assembled up to a day ahead and kept in the fridge before baking, or frozen unbaked for up to two months and baked straight from the freezer—add a few extra minutes to the bake time. If cheese leaks out, ensure the dough is well sealed. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge and reheat in the oven for best results.
