This homemade lemonade strikes a perfect balance of fruity flavors, resulting in a beverage that’s both thirst-quenching and satisfying. It’s easy to make, uses natural ingredients, and can be served chilled or over ice for an inviting treat.
Ingredients
- 4 large ripe peaches, pitted and sliced
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–5 lemons)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice cubes, as needed
- Fresh peach slices and lemon wheels, for garnish (optional)
- Mint leaves, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- 1. Combine sliced peaches and sugar in a blender. Blend until smooth.
- 2. Strain the peach puree through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove pulp.
- 3. Add freshly squeezed lemon juice and cold water to the pitcher. Stir well.
- 4. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness by adding more sugar or lemon juice as needed.
- 5. Refrigerate lemonade for at least 1 hour to chill and allow flavors to blend.
- 6. Serve over ice in glasses, garnished with fresh peach slices, lemon wheels, and mint leaves if desired.
Notes
Substitute nectarines or frozen peaches for fresh ones if unavailable. Swap sugar with honey or agave syrup for a natural sweetener. Can be made up to 2 days ahead—just keep refrigerated and stir before serving. If lemonade is too tart or sweet, adjust lemon juice or sweetener gradually. For a sparkling version, replace half of the water with club soda. Leftovers keep in the fridge for up to 3 days.
