Description

Loaded Taco-Stuffed Cheesy Pockets combine savory seasoned ground beef, zesty salsa, and creamy cheese in a tortilla pocket. These baked treats feature a golden, crispy shell brushed with butter and a melty, flavorful filling. Ideal for parties or family meals, they are easy to assemble and bake, ensuring a flavorful and satisfying meal or snack everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 packet Taco Seasoning
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • ½ cup salsa
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • 12 6-inch tortillas

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess grease, then stir in the taco seasoning.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add salsa and blend until well combined.
  4. Lay out the tortillas. Spread the cream cheese and salsa mixture evenly over each tortilla.
  5. Top each tortilla with seasoned ground beef and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Fold each tortilla over the filling to create a pocket and place on a baking tray.
  7. Brush the tops of each pocket with melted butter.
  8. Bake for 15 minutes until the tortilla pockets are golden and cheese is melted.

Notes

Substitute ground beef with ground turkey, chicken, or plant-based crumbles for dietary preferences. Use low-fat cream cheese for a lighter option. Assemble pockets up to a day ahead and refrigerate, then bake before serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days; reheat in oven for best texture. If pockets split open, reduce filling amount. For extra crispiness, broil briefly after baking.
