How to Make Delicious Fresh Peach Fritters

Peach Fritters: Delicious Fresh Peach Fritters Recipe

  • Author: Emma
  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 6 1x

Description

Peach Fritters are a quick treat made with diced fresh peaches enveloped in a light, cinnamon-kissed batter, fried to crispy perfection, and finished with a sweet powdered sugar glaze. This recipe creates golden, tender fritters with juicy peach pieces in every bite, perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert. Serve them fresh and warm for the best texture and flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 1/4 cups diced peaches (about 2 fresh peaches)
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • Milk, as needed for glaze

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, salt, white sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon.
  2. Whisk in eggs, milk, and melted butter until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  3. Gently fold in peeled, pitted, and diced peaches. Set the batter aside.
  4. Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pan to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Using a long-handled ladle, drop 1/4 to 1/2 cup of batter per fritter into the hot oil. The batter will sink, then rise.
  6. Fry fritters for 2-3 minutes per batch, flipping midway for even browning.
  7. Remove with tongs and drain quickly on paper towels.
  8. For the glaze, whisk powdered sugar with enough milk to achieve a drizzling consistency.
  9. Drizzle warm fritters with glaze, or coat in granulated sugar if desired.
  10. Serve fritters immediately for best texture.

Notes

Substitute canned or frozen (thawed and drained) peaches for fresh if needed. Dairy-free milk and vegan butter alternatives work well. For storage, fritters are best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers can be kept in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 day (re-warm in a toaster oven). For crispy fritters, avoid overcrowding the pan and maintain oil temperature. If batter is too thin, add a bit more flour; if too thick, add a splash of milk.
