How to Make Crispy Hot Honey Feta Chicken

Crispy Hot Honey Feta Chicken

  • Author: Mari
  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 1x

Description

Crispy Hot Honey Feta Chicken showcases tender, golden-seared chicken breasts seasoned with aromatic garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. After searing, the chicken is baked to juicy perfection and topped with bold crumbled feta as well as sweet-spicy hot honey, finishing in the oven for a caramelized, bubbly crust. Garnished with fresh parsley, it offers a harmonious balance of crunchy, creamy, and spicy in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 3 tablespoons hot honey
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Season chicken breasts with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper on both sides.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  4. Transfer seared chicken to the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  6. Remove chicken from the oven. Drizzle hot honey over each breast and sprinkle evenly with crumbled feta cheese.
  7. Return chicken to the oven and bake an additional 5 minutes to let the cheese melt and honey bubble.
  8. Remove from oven. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Substitute feta with goat cheese for a milder flavor, or use maple syrup mixed with hot sauce if hot honey is unavailable. You can prepare the chicken ahead by searing and refrigerating, then finish baking before serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. If the chicken dries out, reheat gently with a splash of broth. To avoid overcooking, check internal temperature for doneness.
