This comforting pasta dish features a blend of mozzarella, Parmesan, and cream cheese with a hint of Cajun spice, balanced by sautéed onions and garlic. Perfect for a satisfying weeknight dinner, garnished with fresh parsley.
Ingredients
- 12 oz spaghetti
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley, optional for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Add chopped onion and garlic to the skillet and sauté until fragrant and soft.
- Sprinkle in Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir to coat the beef evenly.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Simmer for 5 minutes to blend the flavors.
- Add cream cheese and stir until fully melted and smooth.
- Stir in mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Mix until the sauce is creamy and well combined.
- Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti in salted water until al dente. Drain and add to the sauce.
- Toss spaghetti in the sauce until evenly coated. Simmer for 1–2 minutes more if needed.
- Garnish with parsley if desired and serve hot.
Notes
For substitutions, use turkey or chicken instead of ground beef for a leaner option. Substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter sauce. Make-ahead by preparing sauce and pasta separately; combine before serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge up to 3 days. Reheat gently to avoid curdling. If sauce is too thick, add extra chicken broth. For less spice, reduce Cajun seasoning.
