Description

Cajun Beef Spaghetti combines spicy seasoned ground beef with a rich, creamy three-cheese Parmesan sauce. This comforting pasta dish features a blend of mozzarella, Parmesan, and cream cheese with a hint of Cajun spice, balanced by sautéed onions and garlic. Perfect for a satisfying weeknight dinner, garnished with fresh parsley.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley, optional for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  2. Add chopped onion and garlic to the skillet and sauté until fragrant and soft.
  3. Sprinkle in Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir to coat the beef evenly.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Simmer for 5 minutes to blend the flavors.
  5. Add cream cheese and stir until fully melted and smooth.
  6. Stir in mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Mix until the sauce is creamy and well combined.
  7. Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti in salted water until al dente. Drain and add to the sauce.
  8. Toss spaghetti in the sauce until evenly coated. Simmer for 1–2 minutes more if needed.
  9. Garnish with parsley if desired and serve hot.

Notes

For substitutions, use turkey or chicken instead of ground beef for a leaner option. Substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter sauce. Make-ahead by preparing sauce and pasta separately; combine before serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge up to 3 days. Reheat gently to avoid curdling. If sauce is too thick, add extra chicken broth. For less spice, reduce Cajun seasoning.
