  • 1 box butter pecan cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 0.5 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Filling & Topping

  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)
  • 1 jar caramel sauce (12 oz)
  • 1 cup toasted pecans
  • 0.5 cup praline or toffee bits
  • 1 cup whipped topping or vanilla frosting ((optional))

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the cake mix, eggs, milk, oil, and melted butter until smooth, then stir in the chopped pecans.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared dish and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  4. While the cake is still warm, use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the cake.
  5. Pour the sweetened condensed milk over the cake, letting it seep into the holes.
  6. Pour caramel sauce evenly over the cake.
  7. Sprinkle toasted pecans and praline bits over the top.
  8. Let the cake cool completely.
  9. Spread whipped topping or vanilla frosting for an extra creamy finish, and drizzle with more caramel sauce if desired.
  10. Slice and serve.
