Ingredients

Scale

12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta

1 lb lean ground beef

1 tbsp olive oil

1 small onion, diced

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes

1 cup beef broth

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup shredded cheddar or Parmesan cheese

1 tsp paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: Boil the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Sauté the Aromatics: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic, cooking for 3-4 minutes until softened.

Brown the Beef: Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned (5-7 minutes). Drain excess fat.

Build the Sauce: Stir in diced tomatoes, beef broth, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-10 minutes to meld flavors.

Add Cream and Cheese: Reduce heat to low. Pour in heavy cream and stir until combined. Sprinkle in shredded cheese and mix until the sauce is creamy.

Combine Pasta and Sauce: Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet, coating it evenly with the sauce. Cook together for 2-3 minutes.

Serve and Garnish: Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley. Pair with garlic bread or a green salad.

Notes

Pasta Water: Save some pasta water to thin the sauce if needed.

Cheese Options: Use a blend of mozzarella, gouda, or pecorino for extra flavor.

Add Veggies: Incorporate diced bell peppers, spinach, or mushrooms for added nutrition.

Spice It Up: Add red pepper flakes or cayenne for a spicy kick.
