Description

Bang Bang Salmon features perfectly seasoned and pan-seared salmon fillets topped with a creamy, tangy, and spicy Bang Bang sauce. The sauce combines mayonnaise, sweet chili, sriracha, honey, and lime juice for a balanced flavor, finished with fresh green onions for a crisp bite. This quick and easy recipe delivers a vibrant, satisfying seafood dish.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each), skin-on or skinless
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Pat salmon dry and season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook salmon for 4-5 minutes skin-side down, then flip and cook an additional 2-3 minutes.
  4. Whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice until smooth.
  5. Drizzle Bang Bang sauce over warm salmon and sprinkle with chopped green onions.

Notes

You can substitute mayonnaise with Greek yogurt for a lighter sauce. For less heat, reduce or omit sriracha. Make-ahead tip: Prepare Bang Bang sauce up to 2 days in advance and store in the refrigerator. Store leftover cooked salmon in an airtight container for up to 2 days. To avoid overcooking, monitor salmon closely as cooking times can vary based on thickness. Use fresh lime juice for best flavor.
