- 1 pound small shrimp, peeled and deveined
- ½ cup freshly squeezed lime juice
- ¼ cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1 large ripe avocado, diced
- 1 medium tomato, finely diced
- ¼ cup red onion, finely diced
- 1 small jalapeño, minced (adjust for spice preference)
- 2 tablespoons cilantro, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Tortilla chips or cucumber slices for serving
Instructions
- Marinate the shrimp in lime and orange juice for 15–20 minutes in the fridge until they turn opaque.
- Dice the avocado, tomato, red onion, and jalapeño while the shrimp marinate.
- Drain excess liquid from the shrimp and mix them with the diced vegetables and cilantro. Season with salt and pepper.
- Spoon the mixture onto tortilla chips or cucumber slices. Garnish with cilantro or lime wedges if desired.
- Serve chilled and enjoy!
Notes
- For a tropical twist, add diced mango or pineapple to the ceviche.
- Keep the ceviche chilled and assemble bites just before serving to maintain freshness and texture.
