Notes
For substitutions, use vegetable oil instead of butter for a dairy-free option, or Greek yogurt for extra moisture. The bread can be made ahead and stored in an airtight container at room temperature for 3 days, or refrigerated for up to a week. Freeze slices individually for longer storage. To avoid a soggy cream cheese layer, ensure the cream cheese is softened but not melted before mixing. If the bread browns too fast, tent with foil during baking.
