Description

Strawberry Fluff Salad Dessert is a light, creamy dish combining strawberry gelatin, instant vanilla pudding, fresh strawberries, crushed pineapple, and mini marshmallows. This refreshing and fruity salad is sweet, colorful, and perfect for gatherings or as a delightful treat chilled to meld flavors and create a fluffy texture.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag (10 ounces) mini marshmallows
  • 1 box (3 ounces) strawberry flavored gelatin dessert mix
  • 1 box (3.4 ounces) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 can (20 ounces) crushed pineapple, well drained
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 24 ounces fresh strawberries, hulled, halved, and sliced
  • 8 ounces whipped topping

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the strawberry gelatin dessert mix with hot water. Stir continuously until gelatin dissolves completely and no granules remain.
  2. Add cold water to the bowl and stir to combine. Place the bowl in the refrigerator for 15 to 20 minutes to allow the mixture to cool slightly without setting.
  3. Whisk the instant vanilla pudding mix into the cooled gelatin mixture until the blend is completely smooth and free of lumps. Return bowl to the refrigerator and chill for an additional 15 to 20 minutes.
  4. Remove the mixture from refrigeration. Using a spatula, gently fold in the whipped topping until evenly incorporated and no streaks remain.
  5. Fold in the sliced strawberries, well-drained crushed pineapple, and mini marshmallows. Gently stir until all ingredients are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
  6. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the mixture to thicken and flavors to meld. Serve thoroughly chilled.

Notes

Substitute fresh strawberries with frozen, thawed berries if fresh are not available. Use homemade whipped cream instead of whipped topping for a fresher taste. Prepare the dessert up to 24 hours ahead, storing covered in the refrigerator. If mixture is too runny, add more instant pudding or chill longer. For a lighter version, reduce marshmallows or use sugar-free gelatin. Stir gently to maintain fluffiness.
