Description

No-Bake Cottage Cheese Brownie Batter Protein Bites are a health-focused, quick treat that combines the creaminess of cottage cheese with cocoa powder and optional protein powder, creating a rich, chocolatey flavor. This nutritious, high-protein snack is naturally sweetened and customizable with nuts, seeds, or mini chocolate chips for added texture and taste, making it ideal for pre/post-workout fuel or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 2 tablespoons honey (or chosen sweetener)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 scoop protein powder (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped nuts or seeds (optional)
  • Mini chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine cottage cheese, honey, and vanilla extract in a blender. Blend until smooth.
  2. Transfer the blended mixture to a bowl.
  3. Stir in unsweetened cocoa powder.
  4. If using, whisk in protein powder.
  5. Mix until thick, resembling brownie batter.
  6. Fold in chopped nuts or seeds and mini chocolate chips if desired.
  7. Using a tablespoon or small scoop, portion out the batter.
  8. Roll each portion between your hands to form 1-inch balls.
  9. Place bites on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  10. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or freeze for 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Substitute cottage cheese with Greek yogurt for a tangier flavor or use maple syrup or agave in place of honey for a vegan option. Protein powder can be omitted or replaced with collagen peptides. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days or freeze for longer storage. If mixture is too loose, add more cocoa powder or protein powder; if too thick, a splash of milk helps. For nut allergies, use only seeds or omit mix-ins entirely.
